    Thanksgiving 2015

Our Thanksgiving was full of food and family, just the way we like it! The week of Thanksgiving Jack’s school had a feast complete with handmade hats and all. My mom is retired so she was able to join us for the lunch and Jack was so excited his Mimi was there. Jack’s top//Carters On Thanksgiving day we went over to my parent’s house for lunch along with my sister and her family. Jack took a rare nap in daddy’s lap while the other kids ran wild hence the lack of pictures of them. That evening we drove an hour to J’s aunts house for another round of Thanksgiving food.…

    Halloween 2015

I posted a few of our Halloween pictures yesterday, but I also wanted to do a post with all the pictures in one place. Unless your family or just really love seeing cute kids in costumes, this post might not be all that exciting. Our first Halloween party was at my work on Wednesday night. Next was Jack’s party at school (Ben’s school had a “reading party” all day) And finally the real deal Halloween night. We went to my mother-in-law’s house for dinner and then trick or treated in some nearby neighborhoods. So many of the houses go all out-check out the picture of the witch and apothecary type booth. It…

    Red, White, & Blue 2015

I just love the 4th of July. There’s something so awesome about everyone spending time with their families, wearing matching red, white, and blue, and celebrating their freedom. My office was closed on Friday, but I decided to take Thursday off as well and spend some one on one time with Ben. We went and saw Inside Out followed by a little lunch date. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you’ve got to go pronto. Such a funny idea, but also a great message. After almost a full week of rain, we woke up to lots of sunshine on Friday. We went to our beach club and both boys…

    Memorial Weekend & Moving Day

Our Memorial Weekend looked a little different than years past. We moved the final boxes and fixed up the last few things in our old house until the early morning hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Next year I’m planning on having a much more festive Memorial Day. As of today everything at the old house is down and all that’s left now is for the new family to move in. Now that we can focus all of our efforts on the new house, we have a lot to get done this Summer including refinishing and staining the deck, adding a fence, building the kids a play structure, and maybe…

    Life + Mother’s Day Recap

Happy Monday!  I want to start off by sharing that we closed on our house Friday and I couldn’t be happier to officially own this house. We move this upcoming Friday and are very excited to start making it our own. The home is practically brand new so we won’t be making any big changes right away but we definitely have a running list of things we’d like/need to do. And don’t worry, I plan on blogging along the way so stay tuned for lots of before and after pictures! On Friday Ben’s school had manicure and pedicure stations set up for the kids to do their mom’s nails. Ben…
