Another great weekend is in the books. I’m on a mission to make this Summer full of fun and memories and that’s just what we’re doing. We kicked off the weekend with a trip to a farm to pick strawberries and blueberries. Ben was on the hunt for the perfect strawberries and all Jack really cared about was eating them. I’ll do a full post later this week because fresh fruit makes for the most perfect pictures. After berry picking we dined al fresco at our favorite brewery. After we all slept in until almost 8:30 (what!) we hit up the farmers market and then Target for our weekly grocery…

Our weekend didn’t go quite as planned when Jack got diagnosed with pneumonia Sunday morning after a 4 hour trip to Urgent Care. Before the face masks and antibiotics there was geese feeding, Rose drinking and pizza eating. We rounded out the weekend with Smoothie King and bonus, the kids don’t know they hide fruits and vegetables in their smoothies and I’m definitely not telling them. I’m looking forward to a 3 day weekend and hoping this week flies by…And that my Memorial Day weekend doesn’t involve anybody going to the doctor. Happy Monday! Linking up with Biana for Weekending.

This weekend was pretty perfect despite cold, rainy weather which caused Ben’s baseball game on Friday night to be cut short when it started down pouring halfway through the game. Anywho, rewinding to earlier in the day, since I had the day off,  Jack and I took Ben lunch to school and got to eat with him in the commons. Jack was so excited to eat at the big school and Ben was so excited to show off his brother. Saturday was the usual grocery shopping and cleaning house. I prepped all the fruit for this week and I don’t know why I don’t do this more often. Oh yes…

Friday night wine + nails before dinner with the family to celebrate my niece’s new internship. 5am Saturday morning I was woken up to the phone ringing and a tearful Jack telling me he missed me and wanted me to come get him. My mother-in-law said he had been up all night coughing and was running a fever.  Since he’d just been sick with a cough and fever a few weeks before I made sure we were the first patient as soon the doctor’s office opened. Jack ended up getting a breathing treatment at the clinic before being sent home with an inhaler, 2 antibiotics, and asthma. Poor guy. We…

My pasty white skin actually got a little color this weekend thanks to 80 degree temps which was great, but also made me realize I need to run out and pick up some sunless tanner. Stat.  via Besides blinding people, I’ve also been stealing my kids popsicles and hiding them in the back of the freezer because these Jolly Rancher ones are so darn good. Anyone else do this?
