This weekend was pretty perfect. A little bit of relaxing, lots of productivity, and time spent with family and friends. Friday night Ben and I had a mommy-son date to see Into the Woods followed by ice cream at our favorite, Orange Leaf. I know there’s been some controversy about the movie and if it’s appropriate for kids (it’s rated PG). Ben’s almost 6 and he loved it. There are a few scary parts (the wolf) and if you’ve seen the musical, you know how it ends. Like any movie you’d take your kid to you of course want to do your own research. I went grocery shopping at Target…

Weekend Recap
I’m going to start this post with the two cliches I’m sure every blogger is probably writing at the beginning of their posts today…this weekend went by way too fast and I can’t believe Christmas is on Thursday. Before I recap our weekend, was anyone else underwhelmed by the Homeland season finale last night or was it just me? This was technically on Thursday, but we got our first real snow of the season. It was only about 2 inches, but there were so many accidents and people sliding off roads. The road in front of our house and Jack’s daycare was temporarily closed due to accidents blocking the roadway.…

Weekend Recap
On Friday night Jack’s preschool performed the Nutcracker for their Christmas program. Jack’s class were all snowflakes and he was so cute! I didn’t get any good pictures due to the lighting in the theater, but we managed to take some great video. The following morning both boys were up early and insisted on sitting in my lap when they woke up. Despite not being able to breathe, I love the morning snuggles. Ben made “cars” out of some diaper boxes we had lying around and J tied them together with a rope for a fun sleigh ride around the living room. We managed to have a successful trip to…

Weekend Recap
Friday night I started wrapping presents. I got a few wrapped before Ben woke up and came out in the living room. Thank goodness he’s at the age that if I tell them they’re for someone else he believes me. Saturday morning we were up and ready bright and early. Jack’s preschool had a Breakfast with Santa fundraiser at AppleBees. Ben told Santa that all he wanted was one small Lego (yeah right) and Jack screamed every time I made took a step towards Santa. He did finally utter ho, ho, ho on our way out the door. Saturday night J and I went to our annual no kids Christmas…

Weekend Recap
Let’s start off with the best news ever…Jack’s biopsy came back normal! Praise the Lord. Seriously. While we were waiting in radiology there was a young girl hooked up to an IV and she was missing most of her hair. That’ll make you feel real grateful real fast. This weekend we hung out at home and recovered from the stressful week. Jack was pretty pooped Friday night, but I didn’t mind the extra snuggles one bit. This weekend I also had my first red cup of the season. After dragging the popcorn out of the pantry several times, I finally caved and let Jack eat popcorn at 10:00 on a…
