This weekend was the perfect mix of laziness and productivity. Friday night J had a work meeting that turned into happy hour so what’s Ben and I to do? We went for a little ice cream date to our favorite fro-yo place and soaked up the 50 degree weather while we could. Saturday I went to a spinning class at the gym and then we met up with Mrs. Bojangles for lunch. I forgot to snap a pic since I was trying to wrangle a tired, queso chugging monster. Saturday afternoon J’s mom picked up Ben for some quality bonding time and while J worked, I went to a delicious sushi dinner…

As of Late
First off, check out the temperature on New Years Eve. Your eyes do not deceive you. It was 65 degrees. In Missouri. On New Years Eve. Last week Ben’s preschool had ‘dress up as your favorite superhero/prince/princess.” Because Ben doesn’t really watch or play with the traditional superhero’s (i.e.Batman, Superman, etc) he picked the only one he knew of, Diego. An animal rescuer. I couldn’t think of a better one myself. Here he is sporting the outfit. Yesterday we went to Barnes and Noble for their story time. We don’t get the chance to go to these often since they’re usually during the week. Going to story time reminded me…

Saturday Ramblings
A weekend post and the weekend isn’t even over yet. Ben is napping, J’s in his office working, and Pretty Woman is on in the background. Today started off like every typical Saturday until my mom called my sister and I to let us know that my dad had been admitted into the hospital for chest pain. They are running some tests now so hopefully we will get some answers soon. J was sick all last week with a little bug and I picked up Ben early from school yesterday as he started feeling bad too. Luckily he woke up this morning feeling fine, pronouncing “I not throw up!” I’m…

Weekend Recap
This weekend seemed to fly by. Friday afternoon Ben’s preschool had a holiday party complete with Santa and treats. Too bad Ben ended up being terrified of Santa. The parents each brought a wrapped gift that Santa then handed out to each child. Once Ben realized Santa gave out a new Thomas and that he didn’t have to sit on his lap, him and Santa were cool. After the party J and I rented Cowboys and Aliens. It was a pretty good movie and definitely a unique storyline. Plus Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford aren’t bad to look at. And neither is Olivia Wilde. We also spent some time with…

A Busy Family Weekend
This past weekend was spent hanging out as a family and checking several things off my to do list. J redesigned Ben’s Thomas the Train track and he couldn’t have been more thrilled! We ran a few errands including a trip to Sams Club and the grocery store. I wanted to make sure I got all the ingredients so I could make these bad boys. I got the recipe from Pinterest and were going to make them for dinner, but decided they should be breakfast potatoes. I’m always getting samples in the mail so I save the ones we will use and stockpile the ones we won’t. Then we put…
