I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it actually feels like September outside. The high is 70 degrees and the low is supposed to be 50! Considering we’re usually sweating well into October, I’m loving the cooler temperatures. I’m a little burnt out on the season by season bucket lists. Anyone else feeling me? I made a Summer bucket list, but didn’t really stick to it even though we did so many things this Summer. Instead of a list, I thought I’d go back to posting monthly goals and update you on my 2014 Decisions. First up, let’s check in on the resolutions I made back in January. One. Family Time…

2014 Resolutions: 3 Month Update
Well we’re 3 months into the New Year so here’s an update on how my Decisions for 2014 are going. 1. Family Time Ben and I have had some one-on-one time and we went on a date to the movies. J and Ben have been having nightly “boy” time where they play games on the Wii U. Sometimes they even invite me to play 🙂 J and I have also been able to get out of the house and go to dinner and a movie just the two of us. 2. Less negativity I’m trying, but could definitely try harder. 3. Healthy Living This one has been pretty successful so far. I joined a Gold’s Gym Express…

Surviving the Polar Plunge
I wanted to check in and let you know that I did indeed make it through the Polar Plunge. And I even went all the way under. In all honesty, it wasn’t as bad as I expected and the anticipation was almost worse than actually doing it. All the action shots are on my sister’s camera, so I’ll post those when I get them. Here is a pic of my friend and I before we went in. There were over 400 people that participated this year and I think almost $75,000 was raised for the Special Olympics.

Resolutions for 2014

It’s seems like by not making resolutions and not doing them, we’re making a conscious effort to not improve ourselves and live our best life. Whether you call them resolutions, goals, or sh*t I want to do, here’s what I’m committing to this year. 1. Family Time Be more present with the boys, especially…

New Years Eve + 2013 Resolutions Update
We rang in the New Year at home with a champagne toast and then promptly went to bed. The boys were both passed out from too much pre-partying at 6:30pm so J and I were left to stare at each other for 5 hours. When that fun wore off I feel asleep at 8:00pm on the couch to be woken up by J a few minutes later. Then at 9:00pm, it was my turn to wake J up. We’re awesome. With about 2 minutes until the ball drop we woke Ben up so he could watch it with us. Like past years, 2013 was filled with so many wonderful moments…
