White Chocolate Covered Popcorn

I promise this is the last post about anything related to a baby shower. And honestly, even if you aren’t hosting a baby shower you should be making this popcorn anyway. This stuff is so good that J was eating it faster than I could put it in the baggies.
Whenever I throw a party whether it’s for a birthday, baby, wedding, or anything in between, my go to party favor usually involves food. Everyone likes it and no one needs little trinkets lying around their house.
What You Need:
-Lightly buttered popcorn (you want some butter so you get the mix of salty and sweet)
-1 Bag of white chocolate chips
-Food coloring (if you want a colored popcorn)
-Clear baggies
-Ribbon (omit this if you’re just making it to eat)

What To Do:

 1. Pop the popcorn and scoop it into a large mixing bowl. You want to scoop the popcorn so you get as few as kernels as possible.
2. Over low heat, melt the white chocolate chips until smooth. Add food coloring if desired. I used the paste kind (found at Walmart or Michaels). If you add the liquid kind, the chocolate is more likely to seize up. The color will also not be as vibrant.
3. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and mix thoroughly.
4. Once the popcorn is coated evenly, place it on a large greased cookie sheet. I put mine in the fridge for about 15 minutes for the chocolate to harden which made it easier to put in the baggies. If you’re just making this to eat them you would skip the bagging.
5. Fill the baggies ~3/4 full and tie with ribbon.
Party favors are complete!
