Saturday morning I helped at my work’s annual Bowling For Autism event. Usually Ben comes and bowls but this year was our biggest one yet and all of the lanes were completely full. We had a great time watching families and friends bowl together and we raised a lot of money for autism services. Although he didn’t learn to bowl, Jack did learn how to finger paint himself with spaghetti sauce during dinner. Speaking of food, I watched the documentary Just Eat It on MSNBC. This weekend was perfectly unplanned. The only things on our schedule were an autism walk and baseball practice for Sunday but both got canceled due to the rain. Friday night we attempted to watch Frozen…again. Our Apple TV refused to cooperate but thank goodness two minute YouTube clips on repeat were enough to quiet Jack’s incessant “Ola, Ola.” It got into the upper 80’s and I officially broke out the shorts and blinded everyone who saw my legs. Happy Monday! This weekend was extra special because we are officially under contract on our new house!! Of course after being on the market for a while, the sellers got our offer and another one at the same time. After several counter offers back and forth, we finally reached an agreement Saturday night. I’ll post pictures of the new house once we close but we are SO excited. We have been praying about this house for a while and God is so good! Our closing date is May 8th, as in less than 30 days and the moving trucks are scheduled to pack everything up on May 16th. This weekend was a little longer than normal since it’s our Spring Break and I took some time off towards the end of the week so Ben and I could have some one on one time together. We saw Cinderella and both really loved it. Spoiler alert: when Cinderella says, “I forgive you,” to her stepmother I about lost it. source We also tried out an egg dying project I saw on Pinterest that used shaving cream and food coloring but it turned out to be a big fat fail. Since I didn’t get my 5 on Friday post up in time, today’s recap will catch you up on what we did this weekend as well as what we’ve been up to this last week. Tuesday night J and I snuck away for a night away to see Hozier.  The concert was at The Pageant in downtown St. Louis and we stayed at the Moonrise hotel right next door so it was a quick 30 second walk. source Even though we were gone for less than 24 hours it was exactly what we needed.
