Remember this post about the Owl themed baby shower I threw? Today I’ve got the tutorial so you can recreate these cute cupcakes whenever you want.
What You Need:
-1 package of Oreo cookies
-1 bag of plain M&M’s
-Box of chocolate cake mix
-Can of chocolate icing
-Can of chocolate icing
What To Do:
1. Make the cupcakes according to the directions on the box and frost when cooled.
2. Un-twist the Oreo cookies. One side of the cookie should have icing on it, the other will be plain.
3. Break the cookie without the frosting in half. It doesn’t matter if the cookie doesn’t break evenly, you won’t really be able to tell.
4. Stick the halved cookie into the cupcake making eyebrows.
5. Place the frosted cookies directly under the eyebrows. It’ll look a little weird and you’ll start to doubt that this will look like an owl, but trust me 🙂
6. Add an M&M to the middle of each frosted cookie. I used brown and blue M&M’s for the eyes.
7. To complete the owl, place an orange M&M in the cupcake for the nose.
My favorite part was arranging the eyes in different directions:)
