We had the cutest little Paw Patroler and Lego Man this Halloween. We kicked off celebrations Friday afternoon with Jack’s party at school. Ben’s school does a fun reading day but they don’t have a party. He’s always thrilled by this. 🙂 After the school party we took the boys downtown to trick or treat. This was our first time going and it was awesome. Most of the city buildings, shops, and restaurants hand out candy and it’s neat to see all the other kids’ costumes. Excited by something other than a tootsie roll. I’m with ya kid. One of the florists decorated their alley into a spooky forrest and…

Weekend Recap {Labor Day Weekend}
I’m linking up with Annie to share our 3 day weekend which was pretty darn perfect. It was a great mix of relaxing and getting things done, but it left me wishing that all weekends were three days long 🙁 My friend and hairstylist Melissa was able to squeeze me in for a last minute color and cut late Friday afternoon. I’m loving my blunt cut bob and styling it in the morning is SO much easier. Friday night we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with J’s family. Anyone else’s kids love this place solely for the peanuts and rolls? The boys went home with my MIL for the night so…

4th of July ~2016~
The fact that it rained almost our entire 4th of July weekend has me stalling to recap America’s birthday. We spent lots of time indoors but the weather seemed to cooperate a little more on the actual 4th although it was unseasonably chilly. Per tradition, we headed to J’s aunt’s house where the kids swam and shot fireworks while the adults made sure no one poked each other in the eye with a sparkler. I’m happy to report that there were no injuries although Jack did wind up with slightly pink hair when a piece of colored parachute landed in his wet hair dying it the prettiest rose color for…

Memorial Day Weekend 2016
If only all weekends could be this great. And to think of it…minus the extra day, why don’t we make all weekends feel like a holiday weekend? Our weekend started off on Friday night with Ben’s baseball game in which it started pouring five minutes into the game. Saturday was the usual grocery shopping and cleaning and I picked up this flag from Target and put it on our mailbox and I’m loving it. Saturday afternoon I grabbed a margarita with my friend Alissa on a patio and then the night got crazy when I fell asleep at 8:30. We spent the entire day Sunday with J’s mom, brother and…

Mother’s Day + Exciting News
Happy May! I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve posted this month which happens to be flying by. I’d like to say that this Mother’s Day was the most wonderful day ever but honestly I’ve had better. The kids were acting crazy and there was little relaxation, but such is the life of mother and Mother’s Day is no exception. I did manage to snag one of my favorite pics of the boys but none of me and my mom or mil. oops. So before you all start wondering if another little fish is on the way, this is not that kind of news. I am happy to…
