I can’t believe this is the last Friday of July. I feel like summer has flown by. Ben starts kindergarten in just 4 weeks and I’m feeling the need to cram everything into the little time we have left. I’m linking up again with Karli and Amy and this Friday I’m posting my top 5 favorite recipes that I’ve made throughout the years. I know I tend to get in a rut when it comes to cooking and meal planning, especially in the summer, so hopefully this list will give you some ideas. One. Lime & Cilantro Rice {Chipotle Style} If you like Chipotle’s rice, then this copycat recipe is for you. Two.…

Oh Hey Friday!
Linking up with Karli and Amy for another Oh Hey Friday! Tomorrow happens to be my husband’s birthday so I’m dedicating today’s post to the 5 things I love most about J! One. He’s the daddy to these two little nuggets and he would do anything for them. Two. He saw Wicked on Broadway in New York City. And he hates musicals. Three. He’s a great provider for our family. Owning his own business isn’t easy and he does a lot to support our family. Four. He was so supportive throughout my grad school and even put his graduate classes on hold so I could finish my Masters degree. Did I mention we also…

Oh Hey Friday!
You all don’t even know how excited I am that Amy over at The Farmer’s Wife and Karli at September Farm have decided to take matters into their own hands and host their own Friday Link-Up since 5 on Friday is on hold for the Summer. One. I have yet to recap our vacation to Alabama. I want to, I really do. I think part of me is avoiding it because I know that I’ll get all sad and mopey just looking at the pictures and recapping all the fun we had. Two. Bravo has sucked me in yet again with Ladies of London. It’s pretty much the Real Housewives set in London,…

5 on Friday
Happy Friday! It looks like the gals are going to be taking a break from the 5 on Friday link-up so I thought I’d do one final 5 to wrap things up for the Summer. I may continue to do some kind of weekly wrap up until 5 on Friday comes back this fall, but we’ll see. One. My wonderful husband bought me a FitBit and I’m a little obsessed. It probably doesn’t help that 2 of my friends have one and we can compete to see who gets the most steps. It does lots of amazing things, but I find myself using the step tracker and calories burned the most useful…

5 on Friday
Happy Friday everyone! We’ve had tons of rain this week so I hope the weather cooperates for our beach vacation. Let’s get to it, shall we? One. Yesterday Ben had a field trip with his school to the St. Louis Zoo. The rain held off until we left and we had a great time. Last year the zoo opened a new Sea Lion exhibit with one of those underwater tunnels where the animals swim over you. Such a neat view of these adorable animals! Two. I’ve been thinking about these Sweet Tea Lemonade Mojitos ever since Kristin over at Iowa Girl Eats posted the recipe. I think they would be great…
