    Gulf Shores, Alabama: Part II

After a full day at the beach, we decided to explore the area. We took a dolphin cruise that also included a swamp tour to see alligators. The captains on this particular cruise were fantastic and they let the kids sit with them and drive the boat a lot. They also sold snacks on board for $1 which was nice when they started to meltdown. My only complaint was that the tour was a little long and the kids had to keep their life jackets on the entire time. I’m glad the company out safety first but do you know how hard it is to keep a life jacket on…

    Gulf Shores Alabama: Part 1

I figured I better post about our summer vacation before summer is over. In the middle of June we made the 14 hour drive to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We went with my parents and sister and her family and it was the boys’ first trip to the beach.  We decided to leave at 11:00pm on Friday night so the boys would sleep a good portion of the trip. We stopped at a McDonalds in the morning for breakfast and to give the boys a chance to run around. This particular McDonalds had the coolest play place and they boys loved these ball tubes. Between stops and traffic the drive ended…

    Weekend Recap

This weekend was a pretty typical one. We went grocery shopping, caught up on laundry, went to church, and the boys got out every single toy we own. Jack also pooped 4 times in the span of half an hour on Sunday morning. So that was fun. Sunday turned out to be less productive than I had hoped since we had to stay out the house most of the day while J fixed our kitchen sink that had been leaking. As impossible as it is to clean the house with kids around, imagine trying to get a project done that requires actual tools.  I did manage to take a few…

    Friday Favorites

The weather this week has been beautiful. I hope it lasts into the weekend so we can enjoy it. One. Favorite thing I wore this week. My shirt from this haul. Don’t mind the bathroom pic and horrible lighting. I ran out of time to snap a picture at home. Two. Favorite DIY that I actually DIY’d. We had this tiny little bulletin board in our laundry room that was a previous DIY but it wasn’t functional at all. Luckily my friend Erika was getting rid of a bigger board so it was the perfect time for something new. I didn’t want to just randomly hang things so I created a few…

    The Mother of All Goodwills

One of the pros and cons of my job is all the travel. I drive all over the state to see clients which means I get to see places I probably never would have otherwise but some of these towns are also real boring.  Two of my clients live on a military base and I had some time to pass in between their appointments. On my way onto the base I noticed A LOT of people going in the Goodwill. In fact, I’ve never seen a Goodwill that busy so I decided to pop in. Once I stepped foot inside I realized why this place was so popular. Not only…
