    Friday, Friday

    Happy Happy Friday! This week went pretty fast considering I thought Wednesday was Thursday all day. Don’t you hate that. We don’t have any real plans this weekend except carving our pumpkins and hitting up the pumpkin patch, but I do have a lot to get done around the house. Here’s to hoping the kids cooperate! //one// I had a gift certificate for a manicure left from Christmas and after getting my nails and toenails done last week, I hit up the nail salon again. I choose OPI’s Black Cherry Chutney this time instead of my go to Lincoln Park After Dark. Black Cherry Chutney is great if you like…

    Lately…

    Jack pooped on the potty instead of in his underwear last night. The weather here has been 50 degrees in the morning and 80 by the afternoon which makes dressing for the day almost impossible. I just ordered the kids Halloween costumes last night. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Why is getting up earlier in the mornings so hard? I’ve already failed 3/3 mornings this week. Ben’s had a cold this week and even though I know the poor thing can’t help it, his coughing is so annoying and drives me crazy.  J and I watched Vacation last weekend and despite receiving a rotten rating, we both thought…

    Our New Home {Master Bedroom Closet Reveal}

    Believe it or not I actually have a “room” reveal for you all today. That is if you count the master bedroom closet as a “room reveal.” Gotta start somewhere right? When we first moved into the house the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet were, if we’re being honest, a poop brown color. I knew I wanted gray in all the areas and I knew it would need to get painted before we even moved in or else painting would get added to the never ending to-do list and never get done. I wanted Mindful Gray by Sherwin Williams in other rooms in the house (after seeing it in a…

    Friday, Friday

    Happy Happy Friday! I’m jumping right in with this week’s post. //one// I was “Boo’d” this week at work and got these adorable Halloween wine glasses from Pier One and a little notepad. Have you guys ever done the boo game? You basically leave a small gift for someone with a printout of the rules and a sign for them to hang and then they do the same for someone else. I’ve also seen neighbors do this and it’s such a cute idea! //two// I posted this on Facebook earlier this week, but I’m obsessed with kids pajamas. I just can’t help myself so I saw these pjs on a…

    DIY {$3 Chalkboard Art}

    I’ve wanted a small chalkboard that I could change for the seasons/holidays for forever now so when I  saw a $3 chalkboard in the Target dollar bin, I didn’t think twice about putting it in my cart. Once I brought it home it took less than 5 minutes for me to transform the basic board into a cute Halloween addition. What You’ll Need: -Target Dollar Spot Chalkboard ($3) -Painter’s Tape -Stain of your choice (if you don’t like the light/natural wood) -Chalk/chalk pen I already had the rest of the things for this project except the chalk pen which I needed a new one of. 1. Tape off the inside…
