More Than Co-Workers + DIY Stone Magnets

It’s always great to have coworker that you can stand like. It’s even better when those co-workers become really great friends outside of work. Last weekend my friend & coworker Megan had a Chrismaduation party celebrating the holidays and her completion of a Masters in Health Administration. We had such a blast and it was great to just sit around and talk with good friends. And what a better way to show my friends just how much I love them than with Christmas presents. Being Martha crazy lately, I wanted to make personalized gifts for each person. These handmade magnets were personalized with each person’s favorite things and pretty easy to make.…

    Busy.

This week has been crazy and I have a feeling from now until Christmas it will probably be the same. Most of the busyness was self induced when I decided to volunteer to be in charge of the work Christmas party. Luckily it had to be at work, during the day, which made it a lot easier to plan. Being my overachieving, perfectionist self not only did I plan lunch, I thought it would be a great idea to plan something for staff everyday of the week. Even though it was a lot of work and preparation, I’m so glad I did it and I think everyone had a lot…

    No! Gingerbread Man

Last week at Target I picked up a kit to make a gingerbread house. I’ve only attempted this once in the past and halfway through when the roof fell in for the fifth time I gave up. I told Ben that we were going to make a gingerbread house with little gingerbread men and put candy all over it to which he replied, “No gingerbread man, Ben’s candy.” Yes, he talks in the third person.  After convincing him that the gingerbread men…

    Let It Snow

On Friday night J and I went out with another couple for sushi at a new restaurant in town. I didn’t snap any pictures, but the food was wonderful and I loved the chic decor. After dinner we headed to another restaurant that turns into a dessert and wine bar after the regular restaurant part closes. We had such a great time with friends and it was nice to get out of the house for the night. It was also nice that it was 54 degrees that day. That all changed when we woke up on Sunday to the first official snow.  Ready to play! After about 10 min we…
