    I survived 13.1

I did you guys. I completed my first 1/2 marathon. I’ll do a full recap once I get all the pictures uploaded, but I made it. And here is the teeny tiny picture proof. Without my medal. Because they ran out. WTF. It should be mailed out soon but dang, I WANTED THAT MEDAL!!! Thank you to everyone who supported me not only on that day but throughout my training. I couldn’t have done it without your encouragement:)

    Odds and Ends

By the time this post goes live I will have completed my first half marathon. Which is both terrifying and exciting at the same time. I have lots of random things to share from the past week or so so let’s get to it. Chobani Pomegranate Greek Yogurt. I love it, but sometimes the yogurt will have no seeds and other times it has like 30. What’s up with that? This little guy. He sat down and looked through my Glamour magazine the other day. Maybe he was pointing out what daddy should get me for Christmas. Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. I tried it and have to say I didn’t…

    Snickers

Not the food, but rather this cat.  We first met Snickers at the beginning of Summer when it came to our house looking for food. The cat was so skinny and had the sweetest little meow that we felt so sorry for it and fed it. As we were feeding it we noticed the neighbors up the road walking towards us. Life Update

Where to even start? I think from now until Christmas our lives are booked solid. Last Thursday, I headed to St. Louis for work with two other coworkers. We stayed at the Drury Inn and it was amazing. The customer service was phenomenal, you get free food and booze, and did I mention the people were just so darn nice?!? Dinner at the Cheesecake factory.  And cheesecake to go which I ate in the hotel bed in my pajamas. You’ll be happy to know we all woke up early the next morning and worked off those calories in the hotel gym. After wrapping up work  I headed home to celebrate the upcoming…

    I’m a Pinterest Fool

Creating a Pinterest account has been one of the best and worst decisions of my life. So many great ideas, so little time to do them all.  Last weekend I managed to complete two things I’ve had pinned forever. First up Lemon Burst Cookies. Now I’m normally not a fan of lemon foods. I love the smell, great for soap, but in my food, not so much. However, after the magic that was Funfetti cookies, I thought I’d give these a try. 1. The batter Ya’ll. This is even better than the actual cookies themselves. It wasn’t a coincidence that I made these while J wasn’t home. True love may…
