    It’s Friday!

YIPPPEEE!!!!! Since my weekends typically start mid-Friday mornings, here’s what I’m hoping to accomplish before Monday rears it’s ugly head again. We need to exchange our wedding bands. Long story short, J and I picked out and ordered our rings a couple of weekends ago and we when they came in we both hated them. We also need to pick out the guys’ tuxedos and wrap a bajillion bubbles with ribbon. And last but not least, I’m hoping I can convince J to see Silent House with me. What are you up to this weekend?

    Bacon Breakfast Cups

After seeing this recipe on Pinterest I knew I needed to make it right away. J loves eggs, bacon, and toast, and often piles them on top of each other before eating them anyway so I thought this would be a cute way to serve it. I also think these would be perfect for a brunch. What You Need: -Muffin tin -12 slices of bread -A dozen eggs -12 slices of bacon You could also use turkey bacon, sausage, or even faux bacon strips What To Do: 1. Flatten the bread with your hand or a rolling pin and cut out an 8in. circle. I just used the rim of…

    Life Lately + Cloud Dough

First off, to the lady at the gas station today. No, you can’t leave your one year old in the car while you go into the gas station. Yes, I will say something to you. No, I’m not afraid to call the police or your threat to beat my ass. I mean seriously. Is it pain to drag your kid into the gas station? Yes. But the alternative is your kid getting snatched or hurt which isn’t great either. Good thing I was in my running shoes. I’m fairly certain I could have out run her. Ok, end of rant. This past weekend we went with the my sister and…

    S’mores on a Stick

Lacey recently posted her recipe for S’more Pops and I immediately pinned them to make for a co-workers upcoming baby shower. What You Need: -1 bag jumbo marshmallows -1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips or almond bark  -1 package lollipop sticks (I found these at Walmart in the craft/wedding section) -2 packages of Graham crackers What to Do: 1. Place the stick in the middle of the marshmallow and dip the marshmallow in the melted chocolate.  2. Crush the graham crackers using a food processor or in a ziploc bag.  3. Roll the chocolate coated marshmallow in the graham crackers. And that’s it. Super easy and they were a huge hit!  I…

    Wedding Wednesday

65 days and counting….holy cow. I remember when it was 300 days and thinking it was so far away. People are always asking me if I’m nervous and my response is that I’m nervous for the wedding but definitely not the marriage. J and I have been together 5 years and with the little surprise that was Ben, we were forced into a marriage like relationship even though we aren’t technically married. The honeymoon phase in our relationship is long over. I know what kind of father J is. Our relationship is far from perfect, but we’re committed to each other and to our family and we’ve done that without…
