    Mother’s Day

This year was my last Mother’s Day as a mom to one and next year I’ll have two little boys to celebrate with. We went out to lunch with my family and I didn’t take a single photo. Fail. After making a quick stop at home where I received some thoughtful cards and beautiful flowers from J and Ben, we headed to J’s parent’s house where Ben got to try out their new trampoline. And by Ben I mean Ben and J. A trampoline is fun whether you’re 4 or 31. After visiting with J’s parents we headed over to his aunt’s house for dinner. The whether was perfect and…

    34 Week Bump Update

As usual, this is a little late 🙂 Size of the baby: 18 inches long and weighing in at 4 3/4 lbs! Size of a canteloupe. Total weight gain: I honestly can’t remember,  but I think around 27 pounds. I’ll find out Tuesday at my Dr.’s appointment. My feet have been swelling like crazy especially at the end of the day. Hello cankles!  Maternity clothes: Maternity pants, mix of both maternity and regular tops and maxi dresses and skirts. I can’t wait to wear all my old clothes again. Sleep: Getting worse. It’s really hard to get comfortable and my back has been killing me. Gender: It’s a boy! Movement: Still lots, but he’s running out of room.…

    Easter Sunday 2013

Ben was up bright and early on Easter morning ready to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him.  We went to church to celebrate the real reason for Easter and then went over to my parent’s house for lunch and an indoor egg hunt since it was rainy.  That afternoon we went to J’s parent’s house since the Easter bunny left a basket there as well. And then it was off to J’s aunt’s house with the rest of his family. You would think it was Christmas with all the goodies Ben got, including his first T-ball glove and bat! Cousins The most exciting part…the Egg Hunt! I hope…

    Easter Activities

I love Easter. Jesus, Spring, Eggs, Bunnies, what’s not to love! Leading up to Sunday, we soaked in all things Easter.  Normally we visit Santa and the Easter Bunny at our local mall, but this year we decided to go to Bass Pro instead. Not only did we see the Bunny, but there was also an egg hunt in the store. The wait for the Easter Bunny was about 30 minutes, but totally worth it. I mean, how cute is this picture?! Ben and I had to have a little discussion about how the Easter Bunny was not like Santa after he proceeded to tell it all the things he…

    Everyday Happenings

We celebrated J’s grandma’s birthday with pizza, cake, and lots of grandkids. I also failed my 1 hour glucose test but thankfully I went the next day for the 3 hour and passed!  Last week I came down with a horrible cold. Normally when I get a cold I push through it but this one was bad. Thursday morning I woke up and my throat was on fire, I couldn’t stop blowing my nose, and my eyes were watering non-stop. I may have broken down and cried at one point.   By Sunday I was feeling much better and Ben and I caught a movie and enjoyed the beautiful weather we’ve been having with…
