It’s always great to have coworker that you can stand like. It’s even better when those co-workers become really great friends outside of work. Last weekend my friend & coworker Megan had a Chrismaduation party celebrating the holidays and her completion of a Masters in Health Administration. We had such a blast and it was great to just sit around and talk with good friends.
And what a better way to show my friends just how much I love them than with Christmas presents. Being Martha crazy lately, I wanted to make personalized gifts for each person. These handmade magnets were personalized with each person’s favorite things and pretty easy to make.
What You’ll Need:
clear glass stones with a flat back (found mine in the craft section)
pictures
pencil
scissors
Mod Podge
small paintbrush
magnets
krazy glue or some other super strong glue (or magnets with self adhesive backs)
What to Do:
Before you start, make sure your stones are clean
1. Pick a spot on the picture that you want to show on your magnet.
2. Trace around the stone very carefully onto the picture.
3. Cut out picture piece, making sure you cut inside the line you traced. You don’t want the paper overlapping the picture.
4. Using the brush, place a THIN layer of Mod Podge on the back of the stone.
5. Lay the picture piece on the stone with the back of the picture facing you.
6. Brush more Mod Podge over the picture and on the edges.
7. When almost dry, press the picture piece down firmly onto stone to get rid of any air bubbles.

6. Brush more Mod Podge over the picture and on the edges.
7. When almost dry, press the picture piece down firmly onto stone to get rid of any air bubbles.
8. When completely dry, adhere magnet to the back.
I placed the magnets in gift boxes, added a few more little gifts, and wa-la, personalized gifts bags.
