Holidays,  Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap {Labor Day Weekend}

I’m linking up with Annie to share our 3 day weekend which was pretty darn perfect. It was a great mix of relaxing and getting things done, but it left me wishing that all weekends were three days long 🙁
My friend and hairstylist Melissa was able to squeeze me in for a last minute color and cut late Friday afternoon. I’m loving my blunt cut bob and styling it in the morning is SO much easier.
Friday night we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with J’s family. Anyone else’s kids love this place solely for the peanuts and rolls? The boys went home with my MIL for the night so J and I decided to have a little date night and go see Don’t Breathe after I heard great reviews. We both really liked it and it had a pretty unique storyline. Just be prepared to be on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Saturday included huge cinnamon rolls and a visit to a nearby winery for Crush Fest where we I got to check off a bucket list item and stomp grapes!
The weather was beautiful so we grabbed a glass of wine for me, and grape juice for the kids and sat and listened to the live band while taking in views of the Missouri river.
Don’t worry, it’s grape juice.
That night we grilled steaks, I made these Jalapeño Twice Baked Potatoes, and we relaxed knowing we had one more day off (insert praise hand emoji).
Sunday was another gorgeous day so we took advantage of the weather and had lunch on the patio at one of our favorite restaurants and Paw Patrol was on hand in case we got into any trouble.
Sunday afternoon I enjoyed a solo trip to Michaels where I picked up some supplies for a few DIYs I’ve been wanting to knock out including these wood burned coasters.
We made one last visit to the pool on Monday and then did some boring grownup things like laundry and cleaning up the house. Make sure you check out my Instagram to see a great video involving this slide 🙂
I hope you all had one last great Summer weekend. Now bring on all things FALL!
