It’s no secret that the eclipse happened this past Monday and we happened to be lucky enough to live in the path of totality. My mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and niece came over at the last minute and we got to experience the event with them.
Right before totality, the sky turned the weirdest color and then all of a sudden it looked and felt like dusk at 1:12 in the afternoon. All the kids shrieked when it got dark and you could hear people in the distance shouting and cheering. Taking our glasses off, we saw the most beautiful glowing ring around the sun and then before we knew it, it was over. Our pictures definitely don’t do it justice, but we will treasure these memories forever.
