With fingers crossed that the rain would hold off, we got up, had breakfast, and made the drive up Pike’s Peak. But not before making the boys take pictures in their matching shirts. I can’t help myself.

Summer Vacation in Colorado | Part 1
Last week we headed out west to the beautiful mountains of Colorado. To make the most of our time we decided to fly from Kansas City which put us in Denver in a little over an hour vs. a 10 hour car ride. To quote Sweet Brown, ain’t nobody got time for that.

Summer Bucket List {2017}
It’s the first day of June and I’m determined to make this summer one of our best ones yet. MO State Fair
I’m determined to recap the rest of our Summer before Fall is fully underway. A few weekends ago we did the quintessential Summer thing and went to our state fair with my mother and brother in law, and niece. We hadn’t been in several years and not much had changed except this time I was wise enough to steer clear of the corn dogs. Instead we settled on snow cones for the kids, “adult” snow cones for the grown ups, and lots of rides and memories. Summer Bucket List {Review}
Now that Summer is officially over it’s time to see how we did with our Summer Bucket List. 1. Watch a movie in the park RAINED OUT. TWICE. 2. Go berry picking DONE You can read about our trip here. Next year I hope we can go earlier in the season before most of the strawberries are already picked. 3. Finish the upper and lower patios Ha!
