We bought our home 2 1/2 years ago but are still updating some of the rooms. I want to make sure I really love each space and that I’m not just rushing so they’re done. Updating our guest bathroom on the main floor was pretty simple and it’s amazing what some new paint and accessories can do.

Our New Home {Jack’s Room Reveal}
Happy Friday! My typical Friday post looks a little different today and instead of sharing my favorites from this past week, I’m sharing one of my favorite rooms in our new house. It’s been 7 months since we moved into our new home and one room is finally completely done. One’s better than none, right? Anyone else get overwhelmed with design choices and then not do anything? Jack’s room was the first room to get completed simply because he’s the easiest. He’s two and has no real design opinion, minus all things Olaf, which let’s face it wasn’t happening. I loved how my DIY IKEA Spice Rack Bookshelves turned out so I…

Our New Home {Master Bedroom Closet Reveal}
Believe it or not I actually have a “room” reveal for you all today. That is if you count the master bedroom closet as a “room reveal.” Gotta start somewhere right? When we first moved into the house the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet were, if we’re being honest, a poop brown color. It’s been almost two months since we’ve moved into our new house and if I put off showing you all pictures anymore it might just be Christmas before I get to it. Now when I say “before” pics, the house we bought was lived in for a mere 3 months. The fridge was brand spanking new so either the people never ate or bought it new to help sell the house. The couple who bought the land built the house, but ended up not living here very long due to his profession (doctor) and also what we think was a nasty little affair while he was still married. His loss,…

Ben’s Big Boy Room
Before the baby came, I knew I wanted to update Ben’s room and give it a new look. I also wanted to get rid of his toddler bed and replace it with a bigger bed since he loves for us to lay with him at night. I had pinned a few inspiration photos and the common theme was navy, white, and gray. I fell in love with this bedding from Pottery Barn Kids, but couldn’t justify spending almost $300 for kids bedding. You can imagine how excited I was to find almost the exact same bedding at Target for a fraction of the price. I was able to get the Queen size…
