The weather was anything but spring-like during our Spring Break this year. I’m looking at you snow on Easter. Despite cold temperatures and several days of clouds, we made the most of it including a day trip to Kansas City where we surprised Ben with indoor skydiving.

Silk Tie Dyed Easter Eggs
As much as I love the typical color dyed easter eggs, these silk tie dyed ones took our eggs to the next level. I was just as excited as the kids when we finally unwrapped the finished eggs to look at the patterns.

Easter 2017
We kicked off our Easter celebrations by decorating eggs Saturday night. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I also wised up this year and bought 2 egg dying kits and boiled 3 dozen eggs to cut down on the fighting of who gets which color or more eggs. Thunderstorms rolled through early Sunday morning but by the afternoon the weather ended up being beautiful. Easter Celebrations 2016
Easter day this year was chilly and rainy but that didn’t stop the fun of eggs and baskets and lots of family time. The weekend before Easter we broke out the classic Paas kits and got to decorating. Jack also had a little party at school on Good Friday. Pottery Barn Easter Baskets were out and ready for the boys to rip through on Sunday morning before heading to church with my family. Both boys stayed upstairs during the service instead of going to Sunday School and did fairly well despite the pretty long service.
