Not the food, but rather this cat. We first met Snickers at the beginning of Summer when it came to our house looking for food. The cat was so skinny and had the sweetest little meow that we felt so sorry for it and fed it. As we were feeding it we noticed the neighbors up the road walking towards us. They introduced us to Snickers and told us they also fed the cat, whose owners sadly left him/her to fend for itself. Zoo Day
Ben’s school was closed on Monday and I decided to take a much needed vacation day. I had promised Ben the whole week before that I would take him to the zoo and of course as the day arrived, it was rainy and cold. But not wanting to disappoint a two year and his love for animals, we braved the cold, bundled up, and headed out. Ben did so great on the 2 hour car ride. An Animal Affair: St. Louis Zoo
Since I’ve been such a bad blogger lately, I am just now getting around to posting about our trip to the zoo two weekends ago. I had been nagging asking J to go to the zoo since Summer, but let’s face it, 95 degrees and animal droppings do not sound like fun. As it turns out our procrastination paid off and we just happened to have one last weekend where it was 70 and sunny. We seized the opportunity and off to the St. Louis Zoo we went.
