There’s something so fall about apples to me. I think it’s because I associate it with apple picking at an orchard which is the quintessential fall activity. Today I’m bringing back one of my favorite apple recipes that will hopefully get you in the fall spirit. You can view the original post with step by step pictures here.
What You’ll Need:
1. Begin by slicing and de-seeding 3 large granny smith apples. The apple slices should be pretty thin.
2. Place the apple slices into a large bowl.
3. To the apples, add the brown sugar and cinnamon and coat the apples evenly.
4. On a greased baking sheet, cut 1 sheet of the puff pastry into 2 halves.
5. Place the apples in the middle of the puff pastry, slightly overlapping the apples.
6. Bake on 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. It’s okay if a little of the sugar leaks out of the pastry while it bakes.
7. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with crushed pecans and enjoy!

This looks perfect for the upcoming fall season. Seems like everyone loves the red apple but sometimes forget that the yellow and green have a great taste as well. I believe I will share this with our family either as a treat or breakfast. So super yummy
