Our New Home {Playroom Reveal}

Well the playroom is finally complete. And it was actually clean the other day so what better time to snap some pictures for the reveal. One of the things that I love the most about our playroom is that even with all the things in it, there is still tons of room for the kids to run, jump, somersault, and just be crazy boys.

So let’s start with the before pics. The color on the wall was Wollen Vest by Pittsburgh Paint and it was brownish greenish. Not my style.

First change was the paint color. Like most of the areas in our house, we went with Mindful Grey. It can look different depending on the lighting so here’s a swatch of it. I will also post links to items at the end of this post.

When you walk into the room, there is a large landing and then two small steps down into the main area.

The landing area houses the play tent and is also where we set up the train tracks, car ramps, etc. when the boys want to play with those.

You can see how I made this growth chart in my DIY tutorial and as you can tell I still need to get the boys’ height measurements from the doctor.

We love these blue night lights and have them all over our house. They give off the perfect amount of soft light.

I found this clock while at a thrift store with my friend and I love the look of it in this room with the wood.

Despite my best efforts, those bins do not stay organized. But the kids clean the crap up, so I quit caring if the cars were mixed in with the super heroes 🙂 I had this sofa before I met J so it is a good 10+ years old, but still in great condition and perfect for this little space.
