Memorial Day Weekend 2016

If only all weekends could be this great. And to think of it…minus the extra day, why don’t we make all weekends feel like a holiday weekend?

Our weekend started off on Friday night with Ben’s baseball game in which it started pouring five minutes into the game. Saturday was the usual grocery shopping and cleaning and I picked up this flag from Target and put it on our mailbox and I’m loving it.

Saturday afternoon I grabbed a margarita with my friend Alissa on a patio and then the night got crazy when I fell asleep at 8:30.

We spent the entire day Sunday with J’s mom, brother and his daughter at the annual Salute to Veterans Airshow followed by lunch, swimming, and pizza for dinner.

On Monday we went to the Memorial Day parade with my parents, sister and her family. My niece was in the parade for her high school’s color guard and she did such a good job. Later in the day we bbq’d at my parents and the kids splashed around in the sprinkler while the adults enjoyed frosty adult beverages and ate way too much.
