Our Memorial Weekend looked a little different than years past. We moved the final boxes and fixed up the last few things in our old house until the early morning hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Next year I’m planning on having a much more festive Memorial Day. As of today everything at the old house is down and all that’s left now is for the new family to move in. Now that we can focus all of our efforts on the new house, we have a lot to get done this Summer including refinishing and staining the deck, adding a fence, building the kids a play structure, and maybe…

Life + Mother’s Day Recap
Happy Monday! I want to start off by sharing that we closed on our house Friday and I couldn’t be happier to officially own this house. While J and I are super lucky to have parents who like spending time with our children, we usually fill up that kid free time cleaning the house, DIY-ing & baking (me), working or doing man things (him) and we don’t usually just hang out. Those 24 hours away from home last week, just the two of us, reminded me of a few things. I really love a dinner where I don’t have to feed someone else or get up from the table 65 times because someone needs ketchup or a drink…
