Another birthday has come and gone and I’ve added another candle to my cake. I had as much fun as one can when your birthday falls on a Monday. I mean, this shouldn’t even be possible. Ben had a Dr.’s apt that morning so I took him to the Dr. and then he took me out for a birthday lunch. Both my family and J’s family took me out to eat the weekend before and after my actual birthday and gifted me with fabulous presents including some new perfume, a scarf and bracelet, a candle, and some cash to do with as I please:) Best lunch date ever. As of Late
What’s been going on this past month? Ben finally got a matching umbrella for his rain boots. We enjoyed some 80 degree days and Ben “worked” on his bike. Doing a little water color painting This has been burning non-stop. I may never go back to Yankee after using Bath & Body Works candles. The smell fills up our entire house even when it’s not lit. Cousins made sure Cookie Monster had his fill of play-doh. I celebrated a birthday and J got me this new beauty. We went to our first festival of the fall season. And of course we made sure to polish up on our Rock Band…

Baby Boy Owl Shower
Last weekend I threw a baby shower for my co-worker Megan. We had a great time chatting, eating, and celebrating Megan and Baby Ryan. My friend Alissa made the cutest and best tasting cake pops I’ve ever had. Aren’t they adorable? I made owl cupcakes as well and I’ll do a post on how to make them soon. I also made this super easy DIY burlap banner. Homemade white chocolate covered popcorn for party favors. This stuff was so good! Playing games. Present time! Now, whose next for a baby shower? Preferably one filled with pink, and ruffles, and all things girly!

Birthday Celebrations
Two of my sweet nieces had their birthday celebrations on August 11th at the bowling alley. We had so much fun and I can’t believe how big the girls are getting, especially my niece who is 13. How did that even happen?! J and Ben getting ready to bowl. I literally laughed out loud at Ben’s face in this picture. I think he’d rather be playing than have his picture taken. I didn’t get a picture with my other niece but she was having a lot of fun hanging out and bowling with her friends. Happy birthday girls!

Life Update
We have been loving the temperatures lately! 80 degrees is such a nice change from 105. Ben has been so excited to get out of the house and ride his bike until he can’t ride anymore. We’ve gotten to know our new neighborhood quite well and all the streets around us are cul-de-sacs which are perfect for riding bikes. I’m on week 2 of the fashion challenge. This week I had my most favorite outfit and also an outfit I will definitely not wear again. First up, the one I loved. And the outfit I hated. Just no to the whole thing.
