How did this happen? I can’t believe we have a 6 year old. I say this most years, but 6 just seems so big. Happy Happy birthday little guy! You are as funny as you are wild, and despite being all boy, you have a kind, tender heart. You love to learn and ask questions and you are an amazing artist and drawer. You have quickly become your brother’s best friend and you are fiercely protective. We love you so so much and can’t wait to watch you grow this year. xoxo, Mom & Dad

Jack’s Surgery Update
Thank you to everyone who emailed, sent a text, or called the last couple of days to check on Jack! His surgery ended up starting a little later than expected but he did great and we will know the results of the biopsy on Friday. He had a little drain in his check and as well as some sutures and those will come out on Friday as well. For now he’s back to his happy, smiling self, and of course eating:)

Jack: 16 Month Update
Although I’m no longer doing monthly recaps for Jack, I still want to document a few things that he’s been doing lately. Especially since we all know I haven’t even started his baby book yet. Second kid problems. SLEEPING: I think the last time I posted about Jack’s sleeping habits we were getting ready to start sleep training using the Ferber method. In short, we followed the schedule listed in his book which is a mix between CIO and comforting the baby when they cry. After 2 nights, Jack was sleeping through the night and the only thing I regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. Every now and…

Our Very Hungry Caterpillar: Jack’s 1st Birthday
For our little food lover, The Very Hungry Caterpillar seemed fitting for his first birthday party. We kept the party small and invited just family and of course, “Aunt Alissa.” We had deli sandwiches and foods from the book that the little caterpillar eats throughout the week. The cake was super cute and really easy to serve since it was a cupcake cake. A local bakery has made each one of Ben’s birthday cakes and we are continuing the tradition with Jack. Jack was spoiled rotten and got lots of presents including tons of books which is perfect since he is obessed, especially touch and feel ones. We had so…

Jack: 12 Month Update
Jackers! The day has officially come and gone and you are a whole One Year Old! I honestly can’t believe an entire year has gone by since we welcomed you into the world. You are so sweet, happy, and pretty dang adorable. You’ve brought so much love into our lives and your big, toothy smile instantly brightens my day. You’re starting to develop your own personality, complete with little melt-downs and all. With each day that passes I see less of my little baby and more of a toddler and this excites me and makes me sad all at the same time. I can’t wait to see how much you…
