Believe it or not I actually have a “room” reveal for you all today. That is if you count the master bedroom closet as a “room reveal.” Gotta start somewhere right? When we first moved into the house the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet were, if we’re being honest, a poop brown color. I knew I wanted gray in all the areas and I knew it would need to get painted before we even moved in or else painting would get added to the never ending to-do list and never get done. I wanted Mindful Gray by Sherwin Williams in other rooms in the house (after seeing it in a…

Our New Home {The Before}
It’s been almost two months since we’ve moved into our new house and if I put off showing you all pictures anymore it might just be Christmas before I get to it. Now when I say “before” pics, the house we bought was lived in for a mere 3 months. The fridge was brand spanking new so either the people never ate or bought it new to help sell the house. The couple who bought the land built the house, but ended up not living here very long due to his profession (doctor) and also what we think was a nasty little affair while he was still married. His loss,…

Ben’s Big Boy Room
Before the baby came, I knew I wanted to update Ben’s room and give it a new look. I also wanted to get rid of his toddler bed and replace it with a bigger bed since he loves for us to lay with him at night. I had pinned a few inspiration photos and the common theme was navy, white, and gray. I fell in love with this bedding from Pottery Barn Kids, but couldn’t justify spending almost $300 for kids bedding. You can imagine how excited I was to find almost the exact same bedding at Target for a fraction of the price. I was able to get the Queen size…

A House and a Home
This is our old house. It was where we brought our baby home from the hospital. And where he learned to crawl, walk, and talk. It’s where J and I became a family of three. We celebrated 3 Christmas’ in this house. We raced remote control cars in the driveway and drew animals on the sidewalk with chalk. It’s where J and I got engaged. I cooked hundreds of meals in this house and we had lots of family dinners. We even had a few picnics in the living room. This house kept was warm during the 23+ inches of snow we got one Winter. There were lots of laughs…

Big Boy Room Reveal
A few weekends ago J and I transformed Ben’s nursery into a big boy room, complete with the transformation of his crib to a toddler bed. The print is from ETSY, fire hydrant was a garage sale find, and the blue rattle was J’s when he was a baby. These prints are from ETSY as well and the frames were .25 cents each from a garage sale which I spray painted them in a high gloss blue. Can you tell I’m into Owls lately? So excited for his new room that he couldn’t even take the time to wipe his lunch of his face.
