    Halloween 2011

Oh Halloween. There’s not many things more adorable than kids dressed up in little costumes saying tick or treat. Our Halloween activities started last weekend at my sister’s house where the kids painted pumpkins while they watched my brother in law carve one. Love his little tongue. Over the weekend I also whipped up a bunch of Halloween treats for work, Ben’s school, and to take to my parent’s house on Halloween night. All of these recipes and ideas came from Pinterest. Friday I used one of my many accumulating vacation days for a much needed shopping trip at the outlet malls. I picked up some fall and winter clothes for Ben, and a few new work pieces for me.  Ann Taylor and Loft had some incredible sales and these sweaters were only $20 a piece so naturally I bought one in red, deep green, and black. The snap dragons were the biggest hit. On the actual 4th we went up to J’s parent’s house where Ben was gifted with a brand new swing set. And a little look back…

    Memorial Day Weekend 2011

This Memorial Day weekend turned out to be a lot different than last years. You can read about last year’s fun here & here. The weekend got started off with a trip to the ER on Friday night. Without going into too much detail Ben had a lot of swelling in his umm, boy region. Poor thing kept saying my pee-pee hurts, my pee-pee hurts. 5 hours later we were sent home with lots of meds and no real reason for the swelling.  Saturday morning we woke up to find Ben’s hands, feet, and face were all swollen too. Poor little guy could barely see out of his eyes. At this point the…
