    Oh Hey Friday!

I can’t believe this is the last Friday of July. I feel like summer has flown by. Ben starts kindergarten in just 4 weeks and I’m feeling the need to cram everything into the little time we have left.  I’m linking up again with Karli and Amy and this Friday I’m posting my top 5 favorite recipes that I’ve made throughout the years. I know I tend to get in a rut when it comes to cooking and meal planning, especially in the summer, so hopefully this list will give you some ideas.  One. Save the Cake: Turning a one layer cake into two

Yesterday I told you I baked a cake for J’s birthday last week. See how beautiful it is. If you recall, this was the same cake just 10 minutes earlier. Just this time I didn’t want little bits of egg in the cake. While Ben did…

    Oh Hey Friday!

Linking up with Karli and Amy for another Oh Hey Friday!  Tomorrow happens to be my husband’s birthday so I’m dedicating today’s post to the 5 things I love most about J! One. He’s the daddy to these two little nuggets and he would do anything for them.  Two. He saw Wicked on Broadway in New York City. And he hates musicals. Three. He’s a great provider for our family. Owning his own business isn’t easy and he does a lot to support our family.  Four. He was so supportive throughout my grad school and even put his graduate classes on hold so I could finish my Masters degree. Did I mention we also…
