    Weekend Recap

Another weekend has come and gone. On Friday night Ben’s preschool had a picnic to celebrate it’s 15 year anniversary. “Picnic” doesn’t really do it justice since it was more like a small carnival. There was bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, horse rides, and lots of games. The school also had dinner catered in for all the families and staff. I’m so happy we made the switch to this school. The environment is better, the teachers are better, and the amount of things they do with the children is awesome. Jack wasn’t quite sure what to think about cotton candy. Despite how sweet it tasted, he definitely…

How was your weekend? We spent the weekend out of town celebrating both of my nieces’ birthdays. How cute are they!? We packed up the car and made the drive to St. Louis but not before Jack made sure to grab his new friends. Our hotel wasn’t quite ready when we got in town so we headed over to the mall where there happened to be a Nintendo tour going on. They had DS stations set up for kids to play and a Mario Cart competition for the older kids. The best $8 ever spent. The hotel called shortly after we got to the mall to let us know our…

It happened last Friday night and it has just now scabbed over. I know the word scab is gross. I’m sorry. Two. One of the things I love about Summer is all the fresh fruit and vegetables. We got some sweet corn straight from a farm and it was delicious. And by straight from the farm I mean the lady literally went out to the field, picked it, and but it in a bag for me.  Three.…

    Weekend Recap

Aren’t weekends just awesome? This weekend my best friend Meghan was in town and we got our kids together after being apart for way too long. Watching all of them play together was one of those surreal moments. There’s something so neat about growing up with someone and then watching your kids grow up together. Thankfully Meghan’s parent’s live in town so between the 2 of us, we try to convince her to move back quite often. Meghan’s husband Levi also happens to be one of Ben’s favorite people.  J’s parents came over Friday night for dinner and I made these cookies that I pinned from Lisa. I may have skipped…
