    Copy Cat Girl Scout Caramel DeLites

    Now that the Girl Scout cookies you bought a couple of months ago are probably long gone, these cookies can help tide you over until the next cookie selling season begins. I will warn you, these are pretty labor intensive, but they are delicious and taste pretty much like the real deal. What You Need: Cookie -1 cup butter melted -1/2 cup sugar -1/2 tsp vanilla -2 tbsp milk (plus more if dough is too dry) -2 cups flour -1/4 tsp baking powder -1/2 tsp salt -Circle cookie cutter Topping -1 bag milk chocolate chips -3 cups shredded sweetened coconut (make sure to get the sweetened kind) -12 oz caramel…

    Weekend Recap

    Happy Monday! Although things are still crazy around here, I’m back at it with a little recap of our weekend. We kicked off the weekend with donut holes on Saturday morning. After running lots of errands and work on the house, the boys and I went to a 5th grade graduation party for my boss’ daughter. Ben loved the water balloon fight while Jack and my co-worker’s son hung out with the sidewalk chalk.  That night J and Ben hit some balls with Ben’s new pitching machine. They used every last bit of sunlight and only came in when I finally turned off the outside lights 🙂 On Sunday we made another trip to…

    Memorial Weekend & Moving Day

    Our Memorial Weekend looked a little different than years past. We moved the final boxes and fixed up the last few things in our old house until the early morning hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Next year I’m planning on having a much more festive Memorial Day. As of today everything at the old house is down and all that’s left now is for the new family to move in. Now that we can focus all of our efforts on the new house, we have a lot to get done this Summer including refinishing and staining the deck, adding a fence, building the kids a play structure, and maybe…

    Easiest Boot Storage Ever! {No more floppy top}

    Now that the warmer weather is here to stay, it’s time to finally pack away those heavy winter boots. But year after year I have to deal with the “floppy top” which can leave boots in less than perfect condition come next fall. This little hack will leave your boots standing tall and it’s so simple it almost doesn’t need a tutorial.  What You Need: -Serrated knife -1 pool noodle for each pair of boots What to Do: 1. Line the noodle up next to the boot. 2. Cut the noodle to about 3/4 the height of the boot. You don’t want to see it sticking out the top. 3.…

    Life + Mother’s Day Recap

    Happy Monday!  I want to start off by sharing that we closed on our house Friday and I couldn’t be happier to officially own this house. We move this upcoming Friday and are very excited to start making it our own. The home is practically brand new so we won’t be making any big changes right away but we definitely have a running list of things we’d like/need to do. And don’t worry, I plan on blogging along the way so stay tuned for lots of before and after pictures! On Friday Ben’s school had manicure and pedicure stations set up for the kids to do their mom’s nails. Ben…
