    Easy & Soft 2 Ingredient Play-doh

    When I first heard that there was a play-doh recipe with only 2 ingredients I was skeptical that it would actually work, but I’m here to tell you it’s the real deal. And this is the softest play-doh you will ever touch. And because of the ingredients it smells heavenly too.  What You’ll Need: -Cornstarch -Hair Conditioner  What to Do: -Mix 1 cup cornstarch with 1/2 cup hair conditioner. If you want to make a bigger batch it’s 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part conditioner.  No need for the fancy conditioner, the cheap stuff will do. The only bad part about this recipe is that you might find yourself playing…

    Weekend Recap

    This was one of those really great weekends. Although time seemed to fly by Saturday, it seemed to slowly pass on Sunday which allowed me check almost everything off my to-do list and still have some down time to sneak in several episodes of Gilmore Girls. I even got the boys’ backpacks packed for school and everything ready to go for the morning which was one of my New Years Resolutions.     A New Year {2017}

    Happy New Year! I took lots of time off from blogging in December and it was a nice break, but I’m glad to be back. I love the start of a new year. The excitement of another 365 days to live, do, and be anything is awaiting us. Last year I chose JOY as my word that I wanted to represent the upcoming year. This year I’m choosing the word EMBRACE. People, chaos, things not in my control, the peace that comes with saying no, and new experiences. I’m choosing to embrace life, whatever it may bring. And because my list loving self also needs specific resolutions, here they are. one. Travel.…

    Christmastime in Branson

    We started a little tradition with my husband’s family where we take a trip every year around Christmas. Last year we went to Disney World and this year we stayed much closer to home and headed to Branson. I posted about our Summer Trip to Branson last year and the city is so much different in the summer than it is in the winter. One of the main attractions in Branson is Silver Dollar City, and they do a huge Christmas celebration but we opted out this time since it’s outdoors and temperatures were in the single digits. I’m so glad we decided not to it was so painfully cold. J stayed behind to…

    Weekend Recap {A Visit With Santa}

    This weekend we headed to Kansas City to check out the lights, take in the sights, and of course, visit Santa. If you’ve never been to the country club plaza at night during Christmastime you’re seriously missing out. I read great reviews online about the Gingerbread Village & Santa at Crown Center so after lunch at Chuy’s we made our way on over. The line was definitely long and I think we ended up waiting about an hour although it didn’t feel like it until the very end. Isn’t that always how it goes? Jack had been talking about sitting on Santa’s lap for weeks, but he also tends to be really shy around…
