    As of Late

First off, check out the temperature on New Years Eve. Your eyes do not deceive you. It was 65 degrees. In Missouri. On New Years Eve.  Last week Ben’s preschool had ‘dress up as your favorite superhero/prince/princess.” Because Ben doesn’t really watch or play with the traditional superhero’s (i.e.Batman, Superman, etc) he picked the only one he knew of, Diego. An animal rescuer. I couldn’t think of a better one myself. Here he is sporting the outfit. Yesterday we went to Barnes and Noble for their story time. We don’t get the chance to go to these often since they’re usually during the week. Going to story time reminded me…

    Happy New Year

We decided last minute to go out for NYE. And by go out I mean we went to dinner with some of J’s friends and I had a whopping 1 drink. It was perfect. Seriously. Hope you all had a fabulous New Years Eve. Here’s to an even better 2012.

First we went to his parents for lunch and then his whole family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc.) met at his aunt’s house who graciously hosts Christmas Eve dinner every year. This is one of my favorite things his family does. I love everyone being together. Christmas Eve night… The little elves who helped pass out all the presents. I wish I would have taken a picture of all the gifts before hand. The pool table was covered.…

    Christmas Eve Eve 2011

The day before Christmas Eve, Ben and I went to my mom’s house where we met my sister and nieces to decorate cookies for Santa. Later that night we decorated our Gingerbread Man House. Every year we do this and every year I can’t remember why. The icing doesn’t really stick and you can’t even eat the darn thing. Someone sneaking a bite of the candy. The finished project. To a two year old, we created the freakin Taj Mahal. Go us.
