First of all I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who sent sweet thoughts, prayers, and condolences on the loss of my father in-law. His funeral was Tuesday and the thing we heard from people over and over again was what a self-less and kind person he was and it is so true. We are slowly getting back into the routine of things around here and there’s a sense of peace that we didn’t have before. God is good all the time.
Now let’s get to my 5 from this week!
//one//
I may not like the PSL or any other pumpkin flavored food for that matter, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love the smell of it. Bath and Body Works knows how to do fall scents and I stocked up to make sure both my house and my hands smell like the season.

When J’s dad was still in the hospital, he and his brother stayed there with his mom the last couple of nights. My brother in law is a single dad so I kept my niece last weekend so he could be at the hospital. We were a circus going through the Dunkin Donuts drive thru lane. And because I obviously don’t have a girl, I took full advantage when my niece agreed to let me straighten her hair. Doesn’t she look SO cute. She kept calling it her princess hair.

A Chick-Fil-A finally opened in our town and as usual the nuggets did not disappoint. The line wasn’t too bad despite people camping out the night before the opening. wtf. And I’m not sure if it was because it was opening week or we had a little bit of a wait, but we also got a free gift card for breakfast. Go us.

This might be TMI if you’re not a parent, but Jack’s been a peeing in the potty maniac. He gets a fun size piece of candy every time he goes so even if he doesn’t really need to go, he’ll squeeze out a few drops just to get candy. Unfortunately he learned the hard way that unlike M&M’s, Kit Kats melt in your hand just as much as they do in your mouth. At least it wasn’t poop. #positiveparenting

I’m kind of obsessed with vests and have been pining different ways to wear them this fall and winter. The great thing is I already have almost everything needed to complete these looks, but I would have never thought to put certain things together.
Have a great weekend!

Yayyyy Chick-fil-A! My favorite thing on the menu is the spicy chicken sandwich deluxe. I'm in the minority, but I don't really love their waffle fries, so I like to sub them out for the fruit or slaw!

I love Bath and Body Works fall scents! I bought so many last year that I have enough to get me through this season, but I'm still going to make a trip out there to check out (aka buy) their new scents! Those vest looks are beautiful, I have never really worn vests but this season it might be a must!

Bath & Body Works definitely knows how to do fall scents! And yes to vests for fall, I can't get enough! Happy weekending!

We're about to start potty training. I'm so nervous! I definitely see some chocolate covered hands in our future, too! So sweet!

Too funny about the potty training! We are still giving my daughter gummy bears for going potty 6 months after she was trained. Hey, if it keeps on working why change it?! And isn't it amazing how much you talk about potties after becoming a parent? Never in my life have I discussed bodily fluids more!

Your niece is too cute with her little freckles and she is so proud of her hair! I am loving my vest right now and have found so many ways to wear it that I had not really thought about prior to receiving. It's still so warm here so a great way to add some fall touches without burning up.
