Friday night J and I got to steal some time away and go to dinner and a movie with our friends. It was their turn to pick the flick and they chose a great one.
I hadn’t seen previews for Super 8 and went in not knowing what to expect. The kids in the movie were awesome and I liked that it wasn’t your typical sci-fi alien film.
I had to work for a few hours on Saturday morning at an art for autism event where children with autism and their siblings create all different kinds of artwork which are auctioned off at a gallery later in the year. I managed to score my very own piece of art from a very talented teenager which will be getting framed and hung in J’s office.
Saturday afternoon we attended a Curious George birthday party for Ben’s cousins. Both sister’s birthdays are close together so we can knock out two celebrations at once.
Sunday was church followed by lunch at my sisters. After a much needed nap for everyone, we took advantage of the 70 degree weather and headed to the park.
