How come it always seems like the weekend goes so fast? This weekend was filled with fun, family, and even a little bit of productivity.
Friday was a gorgeous day and at 5:30 it was still 70 degrees so what else were we to do but take little stroll around the neighborhood. Normally we eat dinner as a family and then it’s bath and bed for Ben and let’s be honest some nights mama goes to bed at 8:00 too. Friday night however J and I decided to wait until Ben was asleep and picked up dinner from one of our favorite restaurants in town. It was nice to have a quiet meal just the two of us. We watched Life As We Know It and although he’ll kill me for this, I do believe I saw a little tear in J’s eye.
Saturday Ben and I went over to J’s cousin’s house. Ben loves hanging out with all his cousins especially Michelle’s daughter Kylie. We both had so much fun. I am so lucky that J has such a wonderful family who are great to be around.
By the time we left Ben was worn out.
Sunday morning we headed over to a local diner for breakfast with my parents. That afternoon I was feeling especially motivated and completed this little project with Target canisters and chalkboard labels I’d ordered on Groopdealz.
Of course I couldn’t have pretty cansiters without tackling this monster.
I’ve been dreading organizing this since we moved in. If I had only known it would have taken 15 minutes to turn it into this I would have done it a long time ago.
Can I get a hallelujah for organization?!?
