Happy MLK Jr. Day! Although I’m recapping our weekend, it isn’t technically over since the boys and I have today off for the holiday.
My Christmas present from J finally arrived (again) after they sent us the wrong size the first time.
Friday night we went to our favorite pizza place. The boys love watching them make the pizza and playing with the dough.
Saturday morning the boys and I headed to a new donut place that just opened. We got there at 8:00am and they were already sold out of several kinds. The boys waited very patiently while the staff busily made fresh ones and Jack stared intensely at those around him who were already eating.
Saturday afternoon J took Ben to see Paddington Bear and since Jack had refused to nap earlier in the day, he passed out on me at 5:30pm. I didn’t mind the cuddles though.
Saturday night I made these bracelets that Lisa posted about last week and I’m in LOVE with them! This might be my favorite DIY ever.
Sunday morning we made another trip to the new donut place, but this time we got there earlier and they had just about every flavor including the coveted maple bacon and red velvet.
After donuts Ben went to a friend’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Jack is in the same class at school as the boy’s sister so he got to tag along too.
More cuddles until J made me share.
Sunday night I put the finishing touches on this DIY Valentine’s wreath which I’ll post about soon.

Visiting from the link up! Those donuts look delicious, I wish I had a good donut place near by, we only have the big coffee & donut chains and pre-packed grocery store ones. I'd love for a bakery to start making 'real' donuts! Enjoy your long weekend. 🙂
