Friday night started with Mexican food, margaritas, and a face mask. I tried the Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask and it’s one of my favorite charcoal masks. It dries quickly, rinses off easily, and leaves your skin feeling really smooth. I picked mine up at Target.
While I masked, the boys had their annual leprechaun trap building party. And when your dad’s an engineer, you end up falling asleep on the couch while he finishes up.
I didn’t get a picture of the boys in their green this year, but look how cute (and little) they were in 2014. And despite our best efforts, the leprechaun avoided our trap but managed to pee in our toilets and turn the milk green
Saturday afternoon we went to an “Art in Bloom” event where the kids made collages, origami, and cherry blossom art by blowing ink on rice paper.
The kids ran wild and stayed up way too late on Saturday night while J and I finished building built in shoe racks for our hall closet. I had an Ikea shoe rack in there before and it was too small for the space. The shoes always ended up in a pile and no one could find anything. The shelves ended turned out great and I regret that we didn’t do them sooner. I can’t wait to show you the finished product.
Sunday morning consisted of several rounds of Guess Who before heading to the park. It was pretty chilly but we all needed to get out of the house. After the park we tried a new rolled ice cream spot. We wanted to try this for a while and although it was good, I don’t think it’s better than the other local ice cream places we have. The kids really liked it and Ben loved the strawberry cheesecake.
The kids both have dentist appointments tomorrow morning and we’ve got a busy rest of the week. Here’s to a speedy week and Spring Break starting on Friday!
Have a great Monday! Linking up with Biana for Weekending.
