This weekend was pretty great. We didn’t get a lot accomplished on the “to do” list, but we spent a lot of time together as a family.
On Saturday Ben participated in a mud run for kids. He had a blast and kept asking all weekend if he could do it again next year.
While Ben raced, Jack and his friend Paisley kept themselves entertained by chewing on all the things.
At 9:00am it was already 90 degrees and 100% humidity. No amount of filter could make me look good 🙂
The rest of the day was spent grocery shopping, going to the pool, and just hanging out at home.
Sunday morning we went to breakfast at a local diner and then Jack and Ben chased each other around the house one thousand times and built a fort with all our pillows. It’s nice to just join in on the playing and not worry about folding laundry or doing the dishes.
Ben invited his friend Sydney to go to the pool with us and they had so much fun.
Of course it started to rain within 15 minutes of us being there but they didn’t mind. What’s a little rain when you’re already wet?
Jack didn’t seem to mind either as long as he had his bottle of sunscreen. Which he would not put down. I finally had to pry it out of his hand.
