    Jack’s 6th Birthday

On Friday our sweet Jack turned six. I’ve talked about my anxiety with each passing birthday and this one was no different. I really tried to soak in all the little moments instead of feeling sad that time is going so quickly.

3 Author Read Audiobooks You Have to Listen to

Want to know a little secret? I’m not a huge fan of audiobooks. Or pumpkin spiced anything but you already knew that. Back to audiobooks…there is one type of audiobook that I really enjoy. Author read audiobooks. There’s something about an author reading his or her own words that makes the story come to life. I’ve listened to a lot of author read books the past couple of months and 3 of them stood out from the others. The books and the ladies who wrote and read them are all so unique and different and I couldn’t stop listening.

Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago with Kids

Each year over Memorial Day Weekend my field hosts it’s annual conference. Last year J and I spent the weekend in San Diego and the year before that I went to Denver solo. I was so excited when I found out that this year’s conference was in Chicago. Not only do I love the city, but it’s only 6 hours from where we live. With the relatively short distance, long weekend, and not wanting to spend another Memorial Day away from the boys, the entire family decided to tag along.

The weather is finally warm enough that I can put all my booties away and bring out those summer sandals! I also use this time to get rid of or donate any sandals that are super worn or no longer my style. That means it’s also the perfect time to put one or two new pairs in my Amazon cart and luckily, Amazon is killing it in the shoe department. I’ve rounded up the top 5 designer sandal dupes on Amazon and you won’t believe how much money you’ll save!

    Summer Bucket List 2019

I’ve been looking forward to this summer ever since last summer ended. The warmer weather, more relaxed schedule, and extended daylight just make me so happy 🙂 Like every year, I made a summer bucket list of things we hope to do this summer. Some items are repeats from previous years and some things are brand new.
