This weekend we headed to Kansas City to check out the lights, take in the sights, and of course, visit Santa. If you’ve never been to the country club plaza at night during Christmastime you’re seriously missing out. I read great reviews online about the Gingerbread Village & Santa at Crown Center so after lunch at Chuy’s we made our way on over. The line was definitely long and I think we ended up waiting about an hour although it didn’t feel like it until the very end. Isn’t that always how it goes? A Visit with Mr. Clause
The Santa at our mall has been looking a little skinny the past couple of years so this year we decided to take the boys to the Bass Pro Santa. Not only was this Santa awesome, but we went on a Sunday afternoon and there was no line. They also had a cute little reindeer craft for the kids to do and of course all the other fun games that Bass Pro has year round. I love the set up of Santa and his workshop. A Visit With Santa
Santa hasn’t always been Ben’s favorite person, but this year’s pictures with Santa are precious. And since I’m nostalgic… 2011. The only way I could get him close to Santa was to have him sit on this stool. At least he wasn’t crying. 2010. I think every parent needs at least one crying Santa picture. 2009. Ho Ho, No.
Along with almost every other parent, J and I took Ben to see Santa. Ben was not thrilled and I have a feeling Santa wasn’t either. Love Santa’s face. We were surprised that Ben was more upset this year than last.
