What a weekend we had! I think all of us are exhausted, but we had a lot of fun. The long weekend officially began Wednesday afternoon when J and I got to meet our newest baby niece Kylee. This is the only pic I was able to snap between all the cuddling I got to do.
J and I found ourselves in a tug of war over who got to hold her. It’s funny how you forget just how little they are and how quickly they go from baby to hide & seek player.
Later that night we took Ben with us back to the hospital to see the baby. J’s mom got some great pictures of Ben “holding” Kylee. When Ben realized he was not the center of attention he may or may not have decided to crawl around on the floor like a baby. I think someone might have an only child syndrome developing.
Our actual Thanksgiving began with an early lunch at my parent’s house. Knowing that just a few hours later we would be going to J’s grandma’s house we vowed to eat light. Two platefuls of mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, turkey, and stuffing later…opps.
At J’s grandma’s house Ben showed off his mad piano playing skills.
As if we hadn’t eaten enough already we made one last stop for dinner at J’s aunt’s house. Ben loves going over there and seeing all his cousins.
I love this picture! It’s so funny how Ben’s cousin is looking at him like, “I see you and your not getting any of my drink”
One of the reason’s Ben loves going over to J’s aunt’s house is because of all the cool things they have like the drum set and castle room.
It also happened to be J’s aunt’s birthday.
And what a better way to end the long weekend than by seeing these Sunday afternoon.
On our way to visit these people.
One of my best friends and her husband Levi were in town. Meghan’s parent’s just bought a new house so we went over and checked it out. Levi is always so great with Ben and of course Ben talked him into a little snack (or 2 or 3). And because I like to reminisce about the old days, here they are with Ben a few days after we got home from the hospital.
Between all the fun I also managed to get all of the Christmas decorations out and up including the tree. Now we’re officially ready for Christmas!
