Aren’t weekends just awesome? This weekend my best friend Meghan was in town and we got our kids together after being apart for way too long. Watching all of them play together was one of those surreal moments. There’s something so neat about growing up with someone and then watching your kids grow up together. Thankfully Meghan’s parent’s live in town so between the 2 of us, we try to convince her to move back quite often. Another great weekend in the books! This weekend sort of turned into a 3 day birthday celebration for J and we all had such a great time. This happened on Friday afternoon. One benefit to seeing a particular client of mine is that they are in the  direct path of Chick-Fil-A. Once you eat their nuggets, you will never go back to McDonald’s chicken nuggets. Friday night Ben and I got to work “making” J’s birthday cake. Ben was in charge of mixing, despite his desperate plea to crack the eggs into the bowl. This weekend was pretty great. We didn’t get a lot accomplished on the “to do” list, but we spent a lot of time together as a family. On Saturday Ben participated in a mud run for kids. He had a blast and kept asking all weekend if he could do it again next year.  While Ben raced, Jack and his friend Paisley kept themselves entertained by chewing on all the things. At 9:00am it was already 90 degrees and 100% humidity. No amount of filter could make me look good 🙂 The rest of the day was spent grocery shopping, going to the pool, and just hanging out at home.…

Happy Monday Friends! This week is a short one for me since we leave for the beach in just a few days.   After the kids went to bed on Saturday night, J and I had a date night at home and watched Non-Stop with Liam Neeson. It was a pretty good action flick that will leave you tying to guess who the bad guy is all the way to the end.  Ben is such a great big brother and always trying to teach Jack what to do and not to do.
