Our weekend was the perfect mix of productivity and being lazy which is how I think every weekend should be, am I right? J and I spent some one on one time with Ben without little brother. We went to Mexican for dinner followed by Jurassic World. The movie was great and Ben loved it, but apparently I asked him too many times if he was scared. Sorry for caring. Don’t mind the super dark pic, but I wanted to document the fact that we J got the tv in our bedroom hung properly with the cable box and apple tv box hidden behind it and out of sight. And…

Weekend Recap {In Numbers}
4. Times I tried to photograph this gorgeous green dress from GAP throughout the day and forget hence the horrible car selfie at the stoplight on the way home from work. Ignore the frizzy hair…for the rest of the Summer. 7. Shots in this frozen drink. J and I needed this after lots of home improvement projects. 3325. Paint Number for Sherwin Williams Blue Mountaintop. I painted this in Ben’s room and I love the way it turned out. This color is the perfect blue-grey aka “bleige.” Let’s make that word a thing. Source 1. Mircowave that didn’t get installed despite lots of work from the husband due to having…

Weekend Recap
Happy Monday! Although things are still crazy around here, I’m back at it with a little recap of our weekend. We kicked off the weekend with donut holes on Saturday morning. After running lots of errands and work on the house, the boys and I went to a 5th grade graduation party for my boss’ daughter. Ben loved the water balloon fight while Jack and my co-worker’s son hung out with the sidewalk chalk. That night J and Ben hit some balls with Ben’s new pitching machine. They used every last bit of sunlight and only came in when I finally turned off the outside lights 🙂 On Sunday we made another trip to…

Weekend Recap
I can’t believe it’s May and that we close on our new house in 5 days! If you’re thinking about it, could you please say a little prayer that all goes smoothly and in the next 5 days all hell doesn’t break loose? Once everything’s official and we have the keys in our hands I’ll fill you in with the details on what’s been going on throughout this process. I’ve been rocking these Nike’s that I found at our local neighborhood garage sale for $3. The lady who sold them wore them twice. This is the first pair of shoes I’ve ever bought at a garage sale for myself. Although…

Weekend Recap
Saturday morning I helped at my work’s annual Bowling For Autism event. Usually Ben comes and bowls but this year was our biggest one yet and all of the lanes were completely full. We had a great time watching families and friends bowl together and we raised a lot of money for autism services. Although he didn’t learn to bowl, Jack did learn how to finger paint himself with spaghetti sauce during dinner. Speaking of food, I watched the documentary Just Eat It on MSNBC. It’s about all the food that goes to waste in this country and it was pretty fascinating and definitely makes you think twice about throwing…
