Blogger Christmas Swap Link Up
When Kasey announced that she would be hosting a Christmas blog swap I immediately knew I wanted in. I was a lot little hesitant since I’d only done one other swap and it was a complete and total fail. It was a fall favorite things swap and I packed a box full of all my favorite fall items and shipped them off to my blog partner. It turns out the blogger didn’t even end up getting my gift because she had sent me the wrong address??? I also never received my box from her. When I emailed her about it she said she didn’t know what happened and somehow couldn’t find a…

1st Annual Cookie Exchange
Sunday afternoon my friend Alissa hosted a cookie exchange complete with lots of cookies and since kids were invited, she also had lots of things for them to do including making candy reindeer, decorating cookies, and Santa coloring books. It was so thoughtful for her to think of these things and as I parent I super appreciate it. We also had our first snow of the season that morning and got maybe an inch or so which I think is the…

Embrace the Busyness
Jennifer over at Life in the Green House wrote a great blog post yesterday about being busy during this time of year and it really resonated with me. You would be hard pressed to find a lot of people who aren’t busy during this time of the year, including us. We have something on the calendar every weekend from now until Christmas. Dinners, cookie making, visits with friends, and seeing Santa. All things that make this season so special. Like Jennifer, I’m choosing to embrace the business during this season of our life. Ben will only want to sit on Santa’s lap for so long and baking cookies with his mom and cousins…

I’m so glad I have the big and not so…
