It’s hard work, but somebody’s gotta make (and eat) the cookies for Santa. Christmas update coming tomorrow!

A Visit With Santa
Santa hasn’t always been Ben’s favorite person, but this year’s pictures with Santa are precious. And since I’m nostalgic… 2011. The only way I could get him close to Santa was to have him sit on this stool. At least he wasn’t crying. 2010. I think every parent needs at least one crying Santa picture. 2009. First Christmas, still fascinated, and not old enough to be scared.

A Peter Pan Halloween
Halloween started with a party at Ben’s preschool. All of his little friends were adorable. After the school party it was off to J’s parent’s house. Ben’s cousins also came over and it was nothing short of amazing that we were able to capture a picture where everybody was looking. Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and J’s brother. I love my niece’s face. She looks slightly frightened that Ben’s going to whack her with the sword. Only in small town do police stop and give out candy. One last flight of the evening.

Labor Day Thru Instagram
Friday Night Pizza. We checked out one of our favorite pizza places that opened up a new location. Playing trains at Barnes & Noble after a much needed haircut. No trip to the mall is complete without a ride on the merry-go-round. Love him! Remnants of hurricane Isaac meant lots of rain and new rain boots. A Saturday night movie at home. Outfit of the Day Sunday night my parents, sister and her family came over for bbq and an intense game of Yatzee. There might have been spiked lemonade and margaritas involved as well. One final swim of the season. Hope you all had a good Labor Day!

4th of July 2012
Our 4th of July was great although it falling in the middle of the week was less than ideal, but at least the week seemed to go by a little faster. The night of the 3rd we were supposed to go over to my parent’s house with my sister and her family for BBQ and fireworks but Ben got in some trouble at school that day (like the biting kind of trouble) and he had to stay home and miss out on the BBQ as a consequence. J and I discussed back and forth for an hour about whether or not we should let him go. We didn’t want him…
