    Weekend Recap

I left Thursday for a work trip to Kansas and got home late Saturday night so my weekend was cut a little short. I was at a training on teaching essential life skills to people with moderate to severe disabilities and it was one of the best trainings I’ve ever been to.  Although I learned a ton, by Saturday I was definitely ready to be at home with my family. The boys had so much fun with daddy while I was away.  Sunday was spent doing the weekly grocery run and enjoying the beautiful 60+ degree weather. We had dinner with J’s family for his mom’s birthday and caught this…

    DIY Valentine’s Felt Heart Wreath

For the last couple of years I’ve wanted a cute Valentine’s wreath but didn’t want to spend a ton of money for something I’d use one month of the year. Of course, Pinterest came to the rescue and I am in LOVE with how this wreath turned out.  This project requires very little supplies, but it is a little time consuming so I recommend doing this DIY while you watch your favorite movie and drink a big ole glass of wine (or two). What You Need: -Styrofoam wreath in the shape of a heart (I got mine at Hobby Lobby in the biggest size they had) -1 yard red felt…

    Creamy Jalapeño Popper Dip

Place peppers, cream cheese, and sour cream in a…

    Weekend Recap

This weekend was spent celebrating our now 6 year old with an Avengers themed birthday party. Before the party could begin Ben needed a haircut and that’s how we spent our Friday night:) Wild & crazy. Jack hates haircuts so he nervously ate his sucker and worried that he’d be next in the chair. When the boys went to bed I got to stuffing the goodie bags and brining back the year 2000 with a Mike’s Hard Lemonade. For the past 2 years we’ve had Ben’s party somewhere other than our house and it’s so nice not to have to worry about cleaning, cooking, and hosting.   Saturday was party day.…

Happy 6th Birthday to Our 1st Baby

How did this happen? I can’t believe we have a 6 year old. I say this most years, but 6 just seems so big. Happy Happy birthday little guy! You are as funny as you are wild, and despite being all boy, you have a kind, tender heart. You love to learn and ask questions and you are an amazing artist and drawer. You have quickly become your brother’s best friend and you are fiercely protective. We love you so so much and can’t wait to watch you grow this year. xoxo, Mom & Dad
